When you separate each part of your life from the other, you lack the healing that you need.

Healing means that you need to understand that all parts of your body are different, but they are all connected. As you look at your health, stop making it so complicated by putting it in different sections and learning to understand that it all works together.

We’ve been taught to separate everything, work from home, mind from body, spirit from health. Even when it comes to wellness, we’re told to break ourselves into parts: fix your hormones here, your gut there, and your thoughts somewhere in between. But the truth is, this separation might be the very thing holding us back from real healing.

Healing doesn’t happen in pieces. It happens when we realize that everything is connected. Our health, our thoughts, our energy, it’s all part of one whole.

I remember being stuck in survival mode. I had labels, diagnoses, symptoms, and protocols. I chased each one separately, desperate for answers. But the more I focused on fixing one “problem area,” the more lost I felt. It was like trying to solve a puzzle with missing pieces. I didn’t realize that all those “separate” issues were really just symptoms of the same imbalance: my energy was off.

Emotions have actual frequencies, and when we stay in lower emotional states for too long, it can start to weigh down our entire system. But when we move into higher emotional states, our body begins to open, shift, and heal.

Dr. David R. Hawkins, a physician and spiritual teacher, developed a scale to help explain how different emotional states vibrate at different frequencies. He created what’s often called the Map of Consciousness, a scale from 1 to 1000 that shows how emotions can either drain or boost your life force.

At the bottom of the scale, you’ll find emotions like shame, guilt, fear, and apathy. These heavy states tend to slow down your energy and shrink your field. As you move up, you pass through emotions like anger and pride, until you hit more balanced states like courage, willingness, and acceptance. From there, you reach the truly transformative frequencies: love, joy, peace, and eventually enlightenment.

According to Hawkins, healing starts to really happen when you reach a vibration above 200. That’s the tipping point. Anything above that not only supports healing but it multiplies it. Anything below that can keep your body in survival mode, where chronic stress, fatigue, and illness can quietly take root.

Self-Awareness Is Where It All Begins

You can’t shift what you can’t feel. That’s why self-awareness is the most powerful tool in your healing journey.

When you notice the moment your energy dips, or when you catch yourself cycling through low-vibration thoughts, you can pause, breathe, and choose something different. You don’t have to stay stuck in those heavy feelings. There are real ways to raise your energy, and most of them aren’t complicated.

The beautiful thing? Most of the practices that lift your energy are deeply spiritual. They’re simple. They’re human. And they’re already woven into your life—you just have to notice them.

Here are a few ways to start expanding your energy field and reconnecting to higher states:

  • Quiet time for prayer or meditation
  • Singing, dancing, and creative expression
  • Giving thanks, even in small ways
  • Spending time in solitude and reflection
  • Connecting with others through love and community
  • Simple acts of kindness or generosity
