Knowing When You’re Being Tricked

7psychics.comOctober 15, 2023August 8, 2024

When you have someone in your life that you trust, the worst thing that you might thing could happen is them to trick you or deceive you. What do you do when you have someone that you love, and they are lying to you?

Understand What Happened

When someone hurts you or deceives you, it can make them feel like you trusted someone that wasn’t worth it. How do you deal with things like this? Even when someone hurts you, you have to learn to love yourself and to be honest enough to not pretend it didn’t happen.

Don’t try to make this go away without handling it and don’t act like it didn’t happen. You have to understand what happened and notice that if you ignore the problem then chances are it will only get worse.

Some people believe that you should just forgive them and forget that what they did happened. If someone that you love is deceiving you, you will feel hurt and you will need to take charge and allow these feelings to be there.

Learn to understand who your partner is and what caused them to be dishonest with you. Could you have done something different or are they just someone that isn’t trustworthy.

Don’t Allow It

If you have someone that keeps deceiving, you then you need to stop allowing that behavior. Someone that cheats on you and lies to you is not someone that you should put up with. This can cause you to have a lower mental health.

Consider what they are doing to you and if they continue hurting you, you need to think about your relationship and see how it will affect your life. This will hep you to make a good decision on if you should stay with that person or not. Someone that keeps lying to you might be someone that you need to leave. Don’t continue being with someone that keeps lying and being deceptive.

Be True to You

Some people want to be loved so much by their partner that they aren’t honest or true with what is going on. They want to believe that the things that their partner is telling them is true but honestly, this can lead to a relationship that cannot move forward and one that is full of hurt and resentment.

When your partner keeps lying to you, face it. Be true that your partner is not being who you need them to be. Once they know that they can’t keep treating you that way, they will change their behavior, or they need to be gone. The best thing that someone can do for you is to be honest with you.

Don’t Act Like it Didn’t Happen

It can be hard to face that your partner is lying or being deceptive to you. When this happens, it can cause you hurt and pain. You have to deal with this. This is a type of betrayal, and it is something that has to be dealt with if the relationship would ever make it.

You have to deal with the fact that this happened, and you have to allow yourself to heal. One way to do that is to face that it happened and not to pretend that it didn’t. If you have a partner that is constantly lying to you, address them and their actions and be honest with what is going on.

Face Them Head On

People sometimes lie because they are afraid of being hurt or are afraid of the consequences of what is going to happen. When dishonesty is in the relationship though, it has to be faced and it has to be confronted.

You have to be honest with what you are feeling and understand that lying is never something that is good and will lead to a problematic relationship. Don’t pretend that this situation didn’t happen but confront them and see if you’re in a relationship worth continuing or not.

Stop Allowing It

You must stand up to your partner and tell them that you aren’t going to allow them to treat you the way that they are any longer. It can make you feel like you are stepping out of the relationship, but the truth is, you might have to. If there is no effort to save the relationship, then choosing to walk away can be the best idea.

There is damage that is going to come when you have a partner that is being deceptive to you. If they don’t want to change their behavior, then they don’t respect you and you deserve something better.

Leave Them

After you confront the situation, it should stop. There should be no more deception. If there is, you have to show them that they will have to face the consequences of their actions to you. You might have to leave them and stop letting them hurt you over and over again.

You will be better out of a relationship that is going to constantly hurt you than to be in a relationship that is causing you pain.  It is important to forgive them, but it doesn’t mean that you have to stay with them.

Talk to Someone

Find a friend, family member or a therapist that you can talk to. They can help you to face the problems that you are having in your relationship, and they can help you to figure out what you should do next. If you are trying to fix the problem, they can help with that and if you just need someone to help you understand, they can help with that.

Forgive Yourself

You need to forgive your partner for hurting you, but you also need to forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for how you are feeling, forgive yourself for allowing your partner to treat you the way that they have been and forgive yourself for the things you did or didn’t do in the relationship.

Forgiving yourself can help you to feel more positive. What happened wasn’t your fault and you need to not let it get you down. The world is full of goodness and as you see that, you can embrace that things will get better.

What happened in your relationship can happen to anyone and as you learn this, you can learn to move forward and learn to let your heart heal.

Trusting Again

It can be hard to trust people after you are lied to and deceived, especially if it happens over and over again. The truth is though, not everyone is out to hurt you and you can learn to trust again.

Breaking up with someone can be hurtful but it doesn’t mean that the world is coming to an end. It doesn’t hurt you in your body and mind only, but it can hurt your emotions as well. The great news is though that you can move on, and you can get over this.

Here are some ways to learn to trust people again after heartbreak:

  • Take Time to Grieve

Even if someone doesn’t die, it doesn’t mean that you won’t grieve over them sometimes. After a breakup, this can cause you to have to face grief. You have to process what you are feeling and take as much time as you need to grieve over your lost relationship.

  • Surround Yourself with Love

Find people in your life that love you and surround yourself with them. There are people that are going to love you and that will show you care and honor. Surround yourself with people that care about your feelings and that you can talk to.

  • Talk to Someone

You can find someone to talk to that can help you rather it’s a therapist or someone in your family. You can even talk to a friend if they help you to feel better. It is important to talk to someone so that you can find healing.

  • Know Your Values

The world isn’t ending because of your breakup, even if it feels like it. Get back to a place where you trust yourself and you know what you value. Let the pain that you feel bring you back to that place where you can trust yourself even more.

Go out and reach your goals and your dreams and do what it takes to find happiness in your life.
